>What are Rubber Base Gels you ask? (Rubber Base Gel = Rubber Base Coat Gel)
Rubber Base Gels can be used as a base coat for builder gel, gel polish or a protective layer under nail dip. It can also be used similar to a builder gel to build up a thickness and some length. Use it directly on your natural nails to reduce lifting and provide long term adherence of builder gel, gels or nail dip. The adherence of rubber gel is phenomenal compared to regular gel base coat.
Rubber gel gets its name from its physical characteristics. It is slightly flexible with a rubber-like feel, compared to structural builder gel. It is actually made from the same ingredients as other gels but processed to make it more elastic and flexible (with less breakage and chipping), and to improve adherence. It works well with flexible, thin, damaged nails vs structural builder gel or nail dip because it moves with the nail plate. Structural builder gels and nail dip are actually rigid coatings trying to hold onto a moving, flexible nail plate, and they often separate or chip. Lastly, Rubber gel is not made of rubber (aka latex).
You can use it to create a slight extension, using forms, but only to about a centimeter because it's not a structural builder gel. Builder gel can be used together with rubber gel in layers to create an awesome system with an extension. And it can be used by itself on longer lengths if on your natural nail.
>Bling Rubber Gels Have Many Uses:
Additionally, you can use it to attach decals, foils or rhinestones (nail glue), to repair tears and breaks in nails or reinforce weak nails (reinforcing gel), level out uneven nails (leveling gel), attach full coverage nail tips (nail glue), create 3D effects (molding gel), or create spreading effects such as marble, natural stone, watercolor or floral designs (blooming or blossom gel). And you can mix colors with it (mixing gel). Rubber Gel is a multifaceted gel. The uses are endless.

>Cure Gels Thoroughly:
It is very important that you thoroughly cure your gels. One of the fastest ways to get gel allergies is to not fully cure your gels. Especially if you have them on or touching your skin. While Bling’s gels are very clean and eliminate the worst of the allergen ingredients, people can become allergic to any gel ingredients if not properly applied to your nail, aka not thoroughly cured. Additionally, in order to have the gel adhere well to your nail, it needs to fully cured. Bling's Rubber gels should be firm and only slightly pliable. If they're gooey or bendable or peeling or anything short of firm, attached and only slightly bendy they're not curing well. 48-watt lamps do not appear to be sufficient these days. I know historically 48-watt lamps were the industry standard for basic gels. But because the output through the lights is different than wattage into the lamp, with 48 watts worth of electricity going in, the energy coming out of the lamp may not really be 48 watts, it could be less. There's no industry standard controlling how these lamps are made or how well they work. It is very important to have a strong lamp. Therefore, Bling recommends 100+ Watts for advanced gels. 100+ Watts should be sufficient to cure any gels. Lamps are very inexpensive these days. You don't have to buy the most expensive lamp out there.
>The Do’s & Don’t with Gels:
The gel industry has recently published information that applying cuticle oils or lotions on your cuticles immediately after curing your gels on your nails can trap any potential residual allergen ingredient and amplify its penetration into your skin. For this reason, Bling highly recommends not applying cuticle oils or creams immediately after applying gels. Additionally, it is not recommended to wipe the gel dispersion layer with alcohol. This spreads the uncured gel product on your skin also. Instead apply top coat over the gel (dispersion layer) to lock down the dispersion layer as best possible. After your final top coat, thoroughly wash your hands to removed residual gel ingredients. It is safer to wait to apply cuticle oils or lotions.
>Gel Shipping:
All Bling gels, aka liquids, are required by law to ship ground shipping. Ground shipping is typically 2 to 8 days. Any gels that are purchased along with dips will all be shipped ground shipping together and cannot be sent priority Mail.
